Dr. Lauren Sterner was born and raised in Bethlehem, PA. A first-generation college student, she received her bachelor of science (BS) in chemistry at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA and her doctor of dental medicine (DMD) at the University of Pittsburgh. Following dental school, she completed a general practice residency (GPR) at WellSpan York Hospital in York, PA. Dr. Sterner practiced dental medicine in Pittsburgh, PA and taught at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine for several years prior to moving to Wisconsin with her husband, Ethan, in 2020. She has been practicing family dentistry in Southeast Wisconsin since.
Dr. Sterner is passionate about fostering patient-doctor relationships. To do this, she tries to know her patients on a personal level, so they feel safe and comfortable when coming to the office. In addition, she is continually expanding her knowledge of new dental procedures and techniques. By presenting her patients with all treatment options, it is Dr. Sterner’s hope that they can make the best possible decision about their dental care.
Dr. Sterner and her husband reside in Milwaukee with their daughter, Adelyn, and their fluffy cat, Bella. In her free time, Dr. Sterner enjoys hiking, baking, crocheting, and gardening. Dr. Sterner enjoys giving back to others. She has organized and volunteered with Give Kids a Smile Day, Mission of Mercy, the Special Olympics, and many school oral health events. She has also traveled to Honduras with Trans Cultural Brigades providing dental care to underserved rural communities.
